As a New Year's resolution, I decided to schedule three hours each Saturday morning to work on the TKGA Level II Master Hand Knitter program. Unfortunately, I caught the flu right after New Year's Day, and this is the first Saturday I've been able to work.
Last year I set up my binder and all the swatch pages, and I came up with a project plan. I got those things in order today. I spent some time downloading Microsoft Word and saving my files to the cloud. I read through the Welcome and Instructions again.
I finished up Swatch 1, and knit up and blocked the pieces for swatch 2. So far, so good!
I added a new reference to my bibliography, which was the two-day class that I attended at last fall's TKGA conference in Concord, North Carolina. That class will make a lot of this swatch work a breeze. Arenda Holladay is an incredible teacher. If you ever get a chance to take a class taught by her, jump at it.
I'm currently working on a sample shawl for the Hillsborough Yarn Shop where I'm teaching a beginning lace class starting next month.
I'm working at the shop tomorrow afternoon. I hope I'm too busy to knit!
